Pakistan Army Chief Agrees to Recommend Syed Qamar Raza for Pakistan’s Highest Civilian Award
Shazada Hayat, President UICF (UK) and international community welfare campaigner, travelled from the United Kingdom to join the global Pakistani diaspora in welcoming and congratulating Pakistan’s Army Chief, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, on the nation’s glorious victory in the May 2025 War, Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos.
The unprecedented welcome reception was hosted by leading philanthropist, business tycoon, and politician Sardar Zahoor Iqbal, with coordination efforts managed by his daughters to ensure a truly historic tribute befitting Pakistan’s victorious hero. The event brought together dignitaries, VIPs, and community leaders from the UK, 32 European countries, the United States, the Far East, the Middle East, East Africa, and Pakistan. The international overseas Pakistani community rose to their feet, greeting Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir with thunderous applause and a standing ovation that echoed the pride and unity of the nation.

The evening’s success was further supported by Syed Qamar Raza, Chairman of the Overseas Pakistanis Federation (OPF), who worked alongside Sardar Zahoor Iqbal to create a memorable celebration at one of Brussels’ most prestigious venues.
In his special address, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir delivered a powerful and patriotic message. While affirming that Pakistan has always strived for peace, he warned the nation’s enemies against mistaking this for
weakness.
“Every drop of blood of our citizens will be avenged, come what may,” he declared, drawing a wave of applause from the audience.
During the event, Shazada Hayat was granted a private audience with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. Shazada Hayat extended his heartfelt congratulations to Field Marsha Syed Asim Munir on Pakistan’s historic military triumph, emphasizing that the overseas Pakistani community’s participation was a true reflection of their patriotism and unwavering support for Pakistan armed forces.
Shazada Hayat also humbly requested the Army Chief to recognise the outstanding achievement and service of Syed Qamar Raza to the overseas Pakistanis community worldwide. In particular, he urged Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir to recommend Syed Qamar Raza for Pakistan’s highest civilian award, in recognition of his monumental service to the overseas Pakistani community.

Following the meeting,
Shazada Hayat expressed his profound gratitude and said, Itwas a real privilege to meet our victorious Army Chief. The Pakistan Army is Pakistan, and Pakistan is the Army. One cannot survive without the other. For true patriots, national interest far exceeds political or personal interest. Today, our pride as a nation stands at an all-time high. Shazada Hayat further added that the acceptance of his request by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was a great honour for the overseas Pakistani community.
